Keeping drinking water germ-free in water storage tanks for ships and campers.
The risks of storing drinking water in storage tanks are well known but people sill get sick from ingesting or aspirating pathogenic germs.
During the development of our electrolysis technology Hydrolyte we were allowed to determine that water with correct parameterization of our small reactor the drinking waterreamins germ-free over years and thus also fresh and free from pathogenic species.
The decontamination of pathogenic germs such as Leionella, Pseudomands but also E-coli etc. was confirmed several times by test series in the independent laboratory Mabritec, Riehen.
This despite the low voltage and current (12 VDC/0,4 A) supplied by a car battery. So with a line consumption of 4,8 Watt and only 60 min. exposure time.
To ensure that all the water in the usally 100 liter storage tank is treated electrolytically, the water flows through the reactor. For this purpose, a small submersible pump is embedded in the tank. the polar attraction of the ions and the concentrated bubble formation ensure a completely harmless inactivation of the germs in the water without the addition of any chemicals. Hydrolytes are virucidal, bactericidal and fungicidal. Both Legionella and e.g. Pseudomonads or E-coli have no chance of survival.
The control unit is small according to the low power consumation and can be operated time-controlled by any cigarette lighter in the car or any clutch with the 12 V battery.
For the disinfection of the water in bottles a special reactor is offered.
